The gooseneck of the detachable gooseneck trailer usually consists of four parts: the traction system, the force transmission system, the alignment adjustment system and the locking system. The locking methods of the detachable gooseneck and the front end of the detachable gooseneck semi trailer include traction saddle locking, pin locking and cam locking, etc.; the horizontal alignment of the gooseneck and the front end of the semi-trailer includes pin alignment, guide groove alignment, and vertical alignment with mechanical adjustment, Winch adjustment, air pressure adjustment and hydraulic adjustment. Detachable gooseneck and semi-trailer The front-end load transfer methods mainly include hook, orifice and orange. There are two locking control methods: manual control and pneumatic control.
Mechanically detachable gooseneck
The mechanically detachable gooseneck is a whole, and there is no relative movement in the fixed connection between the various parts.
The gooseneck itself does not have a height adjustment function, and when it is connected with a semi-trailer, it relies on a modified tractor frame to provide the required slope adjustment. The disassembly and assembly process of the gooseneck of the mechanically detachable gooseneck low flatbed semi-trailer often requires moving the tractor back and forth several times to complete, so it is not suitable for short-distance transportation.

The mechanical detachable gooseneck frame is similar to the frame of the detachable gooseneck trailer body. All are symmetrical with respect to the longitudinal vertical center plane. And indirectly contact with the ground (supported by the ground). The front end of the gooseneck is connected to the towing saddle of the tractor through the towing pin. The relationship between the tractor and the gooseneck is that the tractor can rotate around a vertical axis relative to the gooseneck. When detached from the traction saddle. The tractor can drive off the semi-trailer. The part where the tractor and the traction saddle meet (or become part of the traction saddle) are often made into inclined planes 1 and 2 with different inclination angles that are inclined backward and downward with respect to the ground.
The forward and downward tilting plane a at the front end of the detachable gooseneck trailer body is aligned with the backward and upward tilting plane b at the lower end of the gooseneck. This structure is clothed after the gooseneck is in direct contact with the semi-trailer. A continuous contact plane can be provided between the two so that the two can be further matched and connected. A phase hole is opened at the rear end of the front end of the semi-trailer body adjacent to the inclined plane a. Its size is just enough to allow the protruding rod at the rear end of the gooseneck to be inserted (as shown in Figure 15-19). The protruding rod not only includes a supporting neck. It also includes a freely extending raised portion. Its shape is L-shaped. The protruding rod can be in adjacent contact with the orthogonally erected limit stop on the semitrailer body.

The position of the protrusion may be defined by an orthogonal plug with a beveled front end. The compressed spring between the pin head and the fixed connecting plate serves to restrict the protrusion from moving along the longitudinal direction of the semi-trailer and prevent the gooseneck from detaching from the detachable gooseneck trailer. The tail of the bolt is hinged to the connecting rod, and then to the horizontal rocker through the connecting rod. The horizontal rocker is then hinged with the vertical rocker. Therefore, you can manually pull the handle at right angles to the vertical rocker by manually (through the circular notch on the side of the car) to retract the latch to remove the obstacles to the longitudinal movement of the protrusion.
When the handle is rotated counterclockwise, the latch will be released under the pull of the horizontal rocker to move away from the center. The protrusion at the end of the protruding rod moves backward toward the limit stop, and is retracted by pressing the inclined surface of the latch, and finally contacts and presses the limit stop. After that, the plug springs back under the action of the compression spring and prevents the protrusion from moving out. In this way, the gooseneck and the detachable gooseneck semi trailer are doored together to form a whole, which can be moved back and forth and laterally. In the area of the latch position, the gooseneck and the detacahble gooseneck trailer usually need to rotate around an orthogonal horizontal axis. For this reason, the inclined plane a is combined with the relatively flat part of the upper plane of the semi-trailer close to the position of the latch mechanism, and the round end is designed on the gooseneck so that the gooseneck can swing on the flat upper surface of the semi-trailer. The size of the bolt and the slot hole meets the requirement that the bolt can rotate freely in the drawing hole.
When the gooseneck and the detachable gooseneck trailer are connected together by the inclined plane and the inclined plane h, the weight of the semi-trailer will be transferred. It is borne by the gooseneck through a special connecting mechanism. There are stationary pins on each side of the forked gooseneck! Its rear end is tapered and fixed to the gooseneck; its front end extends horizontally in the forward direction, and is connected to the lower part of the gooseneck arch structure by a steel belt by welding.

When preparing to remove the gooseneck, you must first separate the towing pin from the towing saddle. During operation, the front end of the gooseneck slides down from the traction saddle mechanism, and slides through the inclined plane 2 and plane 1 adjacent to the traction saddle in turn. As the height of the gooseneck decreases, the bottom corner of the semi-trailer is lowered to the ground And rely on the ground. When the tractor is far enough away, the weight of the semi-trailer is supported by the wheels of the semi-trailer and the bottom corner of the front end of the semi-trailer, while the gooseneck is cantilevered out from the front end of the semi-trailer. Subsequently, remove the retaining ring and slide the connecting plate forward to completely disengage the pin 2 from the hole 2.
Then, put the retaining ring to the back to ensure that the connecting plate is at the front of the position restricted by the steel belt. After the rotating handle retracts the latch, the tractor reverses, and the lower surface of the gooseneck arch structure sequentially contacts the inclined plane 1 and plane 2 of the tractor and slides upward, and the rotation operation causes the tooth-shaped protrusion to escape from the phase hole. When the tractor moves forward again, because the gooseneck is connected to the towing saddle, the tractor drags the gooseneck to separate it from the semi-trailer, and the semi-trailer tilts to the ground. After loading the semi-trailer, reverse the previous operation. The tractor drags the gooseneck backwards, prompting the gooseneck to stop on the front end of the semi-trailer.

At this time, the rocker handle is in the release position, and the latch is ejected by the spring. When the tractor is backed up, the guide slope on the semi-trailer guides the convex rod on the gooseneck to make it guide people in a correct position. As the protruding rod moves backward relative to the semi-trailer, the latch pin snaps into the protrusion from behind. The protruding rod is clamped in the correct position, and the gooseneck is orthogonally connected with the detachable gooseneck trailer into a whole. Then, the gooseneck is separated from the towing saddle, and the towing vehicle moves forward. As the tractor moves forward, the gooseneck and the inclined plane of the tractor repeat the cam movement. Therefore, as the front end of the gooseneck is lowered, the gooseneck rotates around the orthogonal axis in the protruding rod area. During this process, the tooth-shaped protrusion is inserted into the slot again, and the dumping plane b falls adjacent to the inclined plane a.
The flange plate 2 inclined downward and inward on the gooseneck and the flange plate 1 inclined downward and inward at the front end of the detachable gooseneck trailer can improve the efficiency of alignment between the gooseneck and the detachable gooseneck semi trailer. After the gooseneck is suspended, remove the retaining ring and manually slide the connecting plate backward to insert it into the protruding part of the front end of the pin shaft 2. When the gooseneck is lowered, the arcuate movement of the connecting plate will cause it to stop at the position where the pin 1 protrudes forward. Therefore, the connecting plate can be easily slid back to the back position, immediately if the retaining ring is put back in front of the cloth. At this point, the connection between the gooseneck and the detachable gooseneck trailer is complete. The tractor backs up again, and the tow pin is connected to the towing saddle again, so that the entire detachable gooseneck low-bed semi-trailer and its cargo can travel at a proper height.
